How It’s Made

At Merrypak we manufacture our own stock range as well as offering custom packaging solutions. Our stock paper carrier bags and boxes are all proudly made in our Cape Town factory, where paper and board is printed, cut and finished by our dedicated team.

For custom orders, the process begins in our sales department where the order is processed and the workticket is made. The workticket is then sent to our repro department, where artwork is created or interpreted according to customers’ requirements. From there, the work ticket moves to our machine room, where the production process begins. Here we operate silkscreen printing, litho printing and die-cutting departments.

Once the paper or board has been printed and cut, it moves to our assembly section for finishing. In this department, our skilled team carefully folds and glues each item to produce the finished product. Every item is then quality checked before being sent to our dispatch department for packing and delivery.
